Umeshu

I am picking up Leigh in an hour and half from her school trip.
I can't wait to have her in my arms and hear her chatter words that make no sense.
If I concentrate enough with my Sherlock's hat on, I can usually figure out what she is trying to say.
(and you can expect to hear me re-arranging the words for her to hear how she is supposed to say)
But it's all part of the fun of listening and believing that she picks up the skill of speaking through these rituals.

So! I have been keeping myself busy the past 1.5 days.
Well, actually we were going to go on a date (about time!) but K got the summer flu what great timing. Poor man had a fever running 38.9C and literally crawling around. So I was busy taking care of him and getting my closet straight... because all my stuff in my closet were in chaos. I knew it would take at least a half a day to work on it and who has that kind of time?!
I did yesterday.
Now I can live in my closet if you asked me to. It's clean and all tidy :)

Anyways!
This post is not about above tho it's been an unforgetable 1.5 days in its own ways.
Today, as I was at the market getting some fruits for K, I realized plums (ume) were leaving the isle fast (it was in season for weeks now). So I quickly picked up a kilo of them, rock sugar and liquor to make some umeshu. It will be another 2 months or so till we can enjoy but I do love mixing it with club soda and have a sip after dinner :)
So that's something to look forward to!
