As for Leigh, she is in between asperger and mild autism so she is a little bit different from them.
(everyone is different) and she is changing all the time so we will see how far she gets when she grows up.
Anyways! when I was a child, I used to read a lot of biography of famous people (call me weird! I think I am) and Einstein and Edison always intrigued me the most and at the time I had no knowledge of autism....
Back on track, not only because they created fascinating things but because they were all recognised as the opposite when they were young. Einstein didn't start speaking till he was 3 or 4 and was believed to be bad at maths and nobody really thought much of him, Edison's school teacher thought Edison was retarded and refused to teach and his mom was so angry she made sure the teacher knew what she thought of him and pulled him out of the school and taught herself and see where that got him.
They all did little things people thought they were weird.
Oh Disney is another person ppl thought weird and was not regarded as someone who'd achieve much because his ideas were just too much when he pitched them. I don't have to say how they achieved more later on.
Yes, I secretely hope Leigh too will blossom with her own passions.
Am I asking for too much? no. I just think she is capable that's all.
Here is what I am talking about:
Famous autistic people wiki version here
Famous autistic people (the major ones) here
Successful autistic people here

I read up on famous people with bipolar!! Great minds think alike, that's us :D
Ah you too!
Because the so called experts fail to emphasize the good side of all these brain related things!
I think that's one thing wrong about medicine.
Normal ppl are only regarded as normal because they out number the ppl who are not regarded like them.
It always makes me think "what is, normal?"
