Mers and my trip

Okay- secret out (it wasn't a secret) I was going to go to Seoul for junk and many other good food with a friend. She is a gourmet(anything good is gourmet in my dictionary) loving girl and writes food articles here and there (I trust her taste!) and she gets around with lots of knowledge of food....so food shopping is super fun with her.
It was going to be so much fun.

Was? did I say was? yes I did.

Last night, the trip was canceled.
Because of the *beeeeeep* MERS outbreak in Korea.
K's parents and K was so against it. They were all like "what will you do if you get it??"
"how about quarantine time after you are back? you are in charge of your girl!"
"someone would have to come to our house to take of Leigh or take away when you are back"
"school will look at Leigh everytime there is a fever wondering if it's from Leigh and you" etc etc...
I have nooooooo freedom even to get away for 3 days.

I really did not want to cancel.
I am sure neither did my friend (Especially that she was going on a research!)
But she kindly suggested we should cancel after I rudely blurted out the situtation (while she was going out to get a guide book on Seoul) and took all of it very calmly (though she must have been boiling inside). And even canceled it for me without a drop of negativeness ...
I am in forever debt to her.. for letting her down because we have been planning and planning and chatting so much about it building up the happiness we would enjoy (tears).

Oh well, I am not a 7 years old missing my party... I should stop nagging.
Still very guilty that my situation canceled on a friend.
