one cycle down- chelation 2015

Okay so I was beating up myself to decide which way to go for Leigh's chelation.
I chose the DAN's method and divided 500mg of DMSA into 3 portions (bought a medicine weigh, it's so tiny) and gave her every 8 hours. It involves waking up in the middle of the night/early morning but it's nothing if it helps.
It's very strict, once it's off the dosage timing I am suppose to give up on the chelation and wait at least 4 days and restart. Fortunately I made time for all the 9 doses and even more fortunately Leigh survived the whole cycle surprisingly well. (1 cycle = 3 days on an 11 days off, meaning rest)

I wanted to try AC (Andy Cutler)'s method of chelating. This involves every 4 hours dosing.
They believe in 4 hours as one dose only last in the body 4 hours so dosing it every 4 hours makes sure the mercury and lead is not rebound to the body and gets flushed out.
But my doctor doesn't think AC method works and he calls it "old" ...  I don't know why... will have to ask him when I see him next time. (but I am ok with it, this will involve waking up at least twice in the night)

Anyways, my doctor wanted me to give Leigh 500mg every evening before bed but I didn't think Leigh could take that much. She struggled (gets cranky and confused) with 250mg so I just couldn't try it thus I went for DAN's method without telling the doctor. I just emailed him if that was okay...
(I couldn't wait to ask since I wanted Leigh to finish her chelation for this season before the summer break started so I went out and do the first cycle anyways)

I have to make sure Leigh is well supplemented since chelation rips off a lot of goodness in the body too not just the bad metal. And her yeast could flare up during chelation as I am told ... so I let her take something for her gut flora... I hope she will pull through and I hope she will do even better after this as so many parents online say their kids do a lot better with chelation.

I still have minimum of 5 cycles left.
I have a feeling her doc will tell us to to do more after the whole 6 cycles are done.
As he always does. We will see.

Fingers crossed it won't be too tough on Leigh and you...

Thank you, thank you... you have no idea how much it helps to have someone cheer on when we do this.
